“I grew up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats and chickens in my family home in the New Forest. I have been immersed in the equine world since my first riding lesson on my seventh birthday. Over the years, I competed in a variety of disciplines including one-day-eventing, show jumping, dressage and showing. I spent time working on a range of competition yards which provided me with invaluable knowledge of the training and physical requirements of top competition horses.
After graduating from Brunel University with a BSc in Sports Science, I decided to focus my career on my true passion and work with animals. I spent 4 years working as as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist since qualifying in 2015, which enabled me to develop substantial knowledge and experience in equine therapy.
I also used this time to develop my understanding of canine rehabilitation, working as a canine massage therapist, and as a hydrotherapy assistant at a canine hydrotherapy centre for 18 months. Furthermore, I also gained a human Sports Massage qualification, and treat many riders and owners alongside their four-legged friends.
I received my post graduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Writtle University College in 2019. I am currently completing the final stage of my master’s qualification: a dissertation investigating the effects of electrotherapies on equine spinal kinematics. I have spent the last 18 months growing my business as a mobile therapist, whilst gaining invaluable experience working as the lead physiotherapist at a canine hydrotherapy centre more recently.
My main aim is to promote the welfare of all companion and working animals to ensure they have continually healthy, happy and comfortable lives”.
